HomeWalk 2015

Join us Saturday, November 21, 2015 for the 2015 HomeWalk benefitting the United Way. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. with the Opening Program beginning at 8:15 a.m. The 5K Fun Run starts at 9:00 a.m. and 5K Fun Walk follows at 9:10 a.m.
Every year, A Community of Friends organizes a team to participate in the United Way Homewalk, which is a 5K walk and/or run to raise money and awareness for the cause of homelessness. I encourage you all to attend and participate in any way you like – walk, run, or spectate! It’s always a lot of fun – it’s great to get exercise and bond with thousands of others who care about the same cause!
We encourage those of you that work at our buildings to get tenants to participate – last year we had quite a few, it was great! Your family and friends are welcome to participate, too!
Our goal is for Team ACOF to raise $500. Funds raised go directly to United Way. You can ask your relatives, friends, people who care about homelessness to contribute any amount towards our goal – but it’s definitely not a requirement to fundraise – only if you choose to! Please note: This is a volunteer activity and you will not receive any compensation or parking reimbursement for your participation in HomeWalk 2015.
