Mental Wellness Gathering- Indigenize Education

The Mental Wellness Gathering Series are FREE events for the community; the purpose is to provide the Los Angeles County American Indian/Alaska Native community and allies with access to culturally inclusive and responsive mental health services, resources, and information.
This gathering topic is “Indigenize Education” and will center wellness through education at all levels. Our expert panelist (which include parents, students, advocates, teachers, & education leaders) will share how they are indigenizing education and how you can also! Additionally, we will have three incredible breakout workshops that will highlight specific topics of interest (Special Education, Curriculum Development, Higher Education). Let’s support one another by INDIGENIZING EDUCATION so we all thrive in our education journey.
This event is #2 of five total Mental Wellness Gatherings that will be held in Los Angeles County. The next gathering is scheduled for Saturday, November 9th from 4:30pm-8pm at Self-Help Graphics in Los Angeles. The topic for the 3rd gathering is “Art & Music as Medicine”.
