WATCH: Molly of Denali

In this episode, Molly and Tooey find a strange box under the floorboards beneath Tooey’s bed and discover it’s an old Japanese puzzle box that is storing something valuable inside. What could it be and how did it get there?

Ask your child:

• How did Molly and Tooey discover how to open the puzzle box?
• What did they do first? Then what?
• Why did they decide to write down the steps?
• Is there anything we should write to help someone else follow the right steps?

MAKE: Molly’s Recipe Book

Use Molly’s recipe book to get cooking with family and friends! You can also create your own pages with recipes for your favorite foods to add to Molly’s recipe book. Writing a recipe down is a great way to share your favorite foods with others, so they can make them, too!

Ask your child:

• What is your favorite kind of food to eat? Do you know how to make it?
• What happens first? Next? Do you have to do it in that order?
• What would happen if you mixed up the steps?
