In recognition
of the substantial need for quality, affordable housing tailored
to address the concerns of persons with special needs, A Community
of Friends (ACOF) was conceived and founded by a leader in
the field of service-enriched housing. The Los Angeles County
Department of Mental Health supported the vision with seed
funding and continues to provide support in varied areas.
ACOF’s mission is to develop service-enriched, independent
living environments, by linking its development expertise
with services, typically provided by community-based agencies. |
