Residential Services Coordinator

(3) Full Time Positions – Locations: South Los Angeles, Metro Los Angeles and San Pedro Areas
Salary Range: $35 - $45K Annually

Summary

The Residential Services Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive services to formerly homeless persons living with mental illness in an independent living environment. Working under the direction of the Residential Services Supervisor the Residential Services Coordinator will participate in providing independent living services, assisting tenants in locating community resources, collect tenant data and preparing outcome and quality assurance reports. Experience working with disadvantaged populations including those who have been previously homeless living with a chronic mental disability is required.


Essential Job Functions

  • Provide individual service coordination and supportive services to assist tenants to live independently.
  • Facilitate skill building workshops for tenants.
  • Maintain required documentation and case notes through the HMIS system.
  • Participate in the interview and application process for housing.
  • Participate in team case conferences and regular supervision.
  • Provide crisis management services.


Desirable Qualifications:

  • BA in Social Services Field, or 4 years of work experience in related areas may be substituted for college degree.
  • At least 2 years case management/client advocacy services with homeless, mentally ill populations preferred.
  • Valid California driver’s license. Access to a personal vehicle to be used to conduct ACOF business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs.
  • Basic typing ability.
  • Proficiency in HMIS system preferred.
  • Ability to work with diverse tenant populations to promote independent living skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with staff and tenants. Knowledge of public benefits & social service systems.
  • Ability to handle highly stressful circumstances
